By accessing Business Better ("The Platform"), you agree to our terms. Business Better provides business operating software solutions for commercial contractors and property managers. All plans carry a 99.9% uptime SLA.

BetterTraders.co.uk & Sub-Brand Disclosures

BetterTraders (www.bettertraders.co.uk) is an online marketplace, trading style, and operating division wholly owned and operated by Business Better Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Business Better", "we", "us", or "our").

All financial transactions, customer data processing, card payment handling, escrow deposits, software infrastructure, and contractor accreditation checks across BetterTraders are governed, managed, and executed by Business Better Ltd. Any agreements entered into through BetterTraders are subject to the corporate governance of Business Better Ltd.

BetterTraders Homeowner Terms & Anti-Spam Verification

  • £1.00 Anti-Spam Card Verification: To protect tradespeople from bogus, abusive, or automated bot requests, homeowners undergo a £1.00 card verification processed securely via Stripe by Business Better Ltd. This confirms legitimate homeowner identity.
  • No Obligation to Hire: Posting a job and receiving up to 3 competitive itemized quotes carries zero obligation to award or hire any contractor.
  • Privacy Protection: Homeowner contact telephone numbers and exact street addresses are strictly hidden from public view and are only disclosed to contractors whom the homeowner explicitly chooses to shortlist.
  • Independent Contractors: Trades listed on BetterTraders are independent businesses. Business Better Ltd verifies trade identity and public liability credentials, but contracts for actual building or repair work are formed directly between the homeowner and the hired contractor.

BetterTraders Contractor Terms & Fair Lead Fees

  • Free Quoting & Capped Bids: Contractors express interest in marketplace jobs for free. No listing can have more than 5 applicants, and no more than 3 contractors can be shortlisted by the customer.
  • Transparent Lead Fees (Max £30.00): Lead unlock fees are tiered strictly by job scope (£10.00 to £30.00) and discounted for active Business Better software subscribers. Lead fees are only debited when the customer selects the contractor for their shortlist.
  • Mandatory Insurance & Compliance: Contractors warrant that they hold active UK Public Liability Insurance (minimum £1,000,000 cover) and necessary statutory trade accreditations (e.g. Gas Safe, NICEIC/NAPIT, CSCS where applicable).

Privacy Policy & UK GDPR Compliance

We act as a Data Controller for your company account information and a Data Processor for your client operational records. All customer data is stored securely in encrypted UK/EU data centers using AES-256 standards. We never monetize or sell client data.
